Certificate Courses
Introduction
The Bengali Department of the college began its Honours and General Courses with affiliation from the University of Calcutta from 14-08-1956 since the inception of the college. The department started functioning under the guidance of dedicated teachers like Smt. Uma Sanyal and Smt. Jyotirmoyee Mukhopadhyay. From its very inception, the department has had a rich heritage of renowned teachers such as Dr. Rekha RoyChowdhury, Dr. Jhara Basu, Smt. Nandita Ghosh and Dr. Alo Basu Sarkar. At present, the department consists of sincere teachers dedicated to the all-round development of the students.
The college now enjoys affiliation under the West Bengal State University. The glorious journey of the P.G. Department started from 2014.

To fulfill the increasing demand of students, the Department of Bengali has finally been successful in opening its post graduate section. The aim of the department is to spread higher education among a greater number of girls/women and to make them balanced and well-equipped human beings in the future.
