The Department of Computer Application was formed in 1995. The Computer Application Major course has been offering since the beginning. The department of Computer Application of Sarojini Naidu College, Kolkata has been acclaimed all over Kolkata for its excellent result.

The department has provided laboratory facilities to the students with 21 computers. In 2014, one student from the first year stood first in university examination. A good number of outgoing students continue their further study and another good proportion of students join job.
