    Biography

    After completion of her school education she pursued her Graduation from Presidency College in 1990 and Post graduation from Calcutta University in 1992. She qualified UGC NET in 1993. She obtained her Ph D degree from Calcutta University in the year of 1999.
    She has served as a guest lecturer at Vidyasagar University from January 1994 to September 1996, for PG courses and as a Part Time Lecturer at Kalyani University from 1995 to 2000, for UG and PG courses.
    On 3rd October, 1996, she has joined the Department of Bengali, Sarojini Naidu College for Women, as Lecturer and serving the college since then. Currently she is serving the Department as Associate Professor. She is also serving as a counselor for UG coursesin Bengali at Netaji Subhash Open University, Sarojini Naidu College for Women Centre since 2002 till date. In her 30 years of teaching experience she has also taught PG courses in Bengali under Directorate at Rabindra Bharati University.
    Her Research interest includes Madhyayuger Banlga Sahitya and Bangla Lokosahitya O Geeti Sahitya.
