Some moments from the first part of the Collaborative Seminar on the Centenary Reflections of the State Terror unleashed by the British Colonial State at Jallianwalabagh in April 1919. Dr Sukanya Sarkar of Sarojini Naidu College for Women announced and coordinated the sessions. The Keynote Speaker was Professor Nirban Basu who talked about the history of the Massacre. The Curator-Director Sri Pratik Ghosh gave an amazing presentation on the building of the Museum and how it organizes and disseminates information as a part of the National Project of spreading ideas and values of M.K. Gandhi. Dr. Sunetra Mitra of RKSM Vivekananda Vidyabhavan read an excellent paper comparing the violence of a colonial imperialist state and state in the hand of big capital. The last session was on Valedictory and Vote of Thanks deliverd by Sukanya and Chirantan Dasgupta.
