Dr. Jayita Chattopadhyay is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Sarojini Naidu College for Women, from March, 2021. She served Rishi Bankim Chandra College For Women, Naihati as Assistant Professor from July, 2005. Dr. Chattopadhyay was a Postdoctoral fellow at POSTECH, South Korea, in 2003-04. Dr. Chattopadhyay completed his Ph.D. from Saha Institute Of Nuclear physics in 2002. She obtained her M.Sc degree from Calcutta University with specialization in High energy physics.

Research Interest

  • Strongly correlated systems: narrow band systems and low dimensionals systems
  • Electron-phonon interaction.
  • Lattice polaron and Magnetic(spin) Polaron
